Getting to Pullman by Plane

There are three airports in the region that offer convenient travel to WSU Pullman. The closest is the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport, located two miles or about 10 minutes from campus, followed by the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport, located in Lewiston, Idaho, approximately 35 miles or 45 minutes south of Pullman, and finally the Spokane International Airport, located in Spokane, Wash., about 75 miles or 90 minutes north of town.

Getting to Pullman by Bus

There are a couple of buses, including Wheatland Express and Greyhound, that run different routes to and from Pullman. Starting locations, transit dates and ticket pricing all vary, so be sure to check your options well in advance and plan accordingly.

Getting to Pullman by Personal Vehicle

Two major U.S. Highways converge in Pullman, making it possible to get here by personal vehicle no matter your point of origin! To give you an idea of driving times within the Pacific Northwest, WSU Pullman is about 90 minutes from Spokane, Wash., two hours from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, five hours from Seattle, Wash., and Missoula, Mont., and six hours from Portland, Ore., and Boise, Idaho. We suggest checking the road and pass conditions before departing! 

Transportation Around Town and Campus

Rental cars and taxi services are available for those traveling into Pullman without a personal vehicle and Pullman Transit offers many bus routes around the city for a small fee that can be paid via cash at the time of the ride. Parking on campus, whether in a rental car or your own, will require some form of daily permit or hourly payment. Call or send us an email before your visit or make us your first stop when arriving, and we can get you set up with WSU Pullman parking!

Overnight Accommodations

Whether you’re into earning and redeeming points, getting the boutique motel experience or camping in your RV, Pullman has you covered! Demand is high during WSU Pullman event weekends, such as home football games, Commencement and Family Weekends, and space in all options fill up quickly so book early or if flexibility is in your favor, adjust travel dates. If Pullman is full and dates are set, consider looking at the neighboring communities.
