Events & Activities

We’re here to help and we’re here for the festivities

Campus event weekends are our busiest times of the year and we love every aspect of being involved. We believe they start with us and our team strives to create a fun, enthusiastic and energetic atmosphere as soon as you walk through the door that will carry on into the weekend!

We open with special hours for nearly every campus-wide event to help visitors with logistics such directions and wayfinding, parking and transportation options, and details on the specific events and activities planned. And we add to the weekend’s events!

Our event weekends typically involve open house amenities like refreshments featuring Cougar Cheese or on-the-go snacks, commemorative photos and special sales or discounts. Or depending on the weekend, our festivities can be fully curated events like the Welcome to Pullman Ice Cream Social during Week of Welcome, presented by BECU, family-friendly Bingo games and after-hours wine tastings.

Weekends we’re open & general activities:

Cougar Football Weekends: When it comes to home football games, we can be a one-stop shop for many fans! We sell general parking permits, Coug-made goods like cheese, wine, honey and seasonings, WSU swag and souvenirs, and serve as a will-call for campus department guests picking up tickets or parking permits. We’re also able to assist with Park-and-Ride options and pregame events at Gesa Field. Refreshments of some kind are usually a must!

Family Weekends: Fall or spring, we want to see who Cougs bring! We love helping Cougs show their crews around campus and Pullman and generally open our doors all day Saturday for Fall and Spring Family Weekends. Our team can help with parking on campus, specific event information and taking commemorative photos. We often add to the line of events or bolster our open house offerings with tastings of various Coug-made goods like WSU Honey!

Commencement: Little is sweeter than saying, “Go Cougs!” to a new WSU alum and that’s why we celebrate Fall and Spring Commencement with a dessert bar! Cougs and their crews are invited to cheers the occasion with a sweet treat, sometimes a complimentary sample of a bubbly WSU Blended Learning wine, and keepsake photos.

Admissions Events: We love talking about life at WSU Pullman and participate in various admissions events for prospective students including Spring and Fall Previews, Spring Break Sneak Peek and Experience WSU. You can find us on Fridays before the weekend events or tabling during the resource fairs!

New Coug Orientation: Welcoming new Cougs into the WSU Pullman and larger Pullman community is one of our favorites! You can find our Cougs all over for each session of New Coug Orientation from tabling at resource fairs to presenting during student programming and hosting a Welcome to Pullman Reception for families and supporters with our friends at the Downtown Pullman Association and Pullman Chamber and Visitor Center.

Move-In Weekend: It’s all hands-on deck for Move-In Weekend — our team is equipped with knowledge of the residence hall move in processes, including driving routes and unload procedures, and can offer experienced tips on living in the residence halls like what you do and don’t need to make it feel like home. On-the-go snacks are a must to fuel the move!

Week of Welcome, presented by BECU: We embody “Monday Motivation” with the Welcome to Pullman Ice Cream Social as a signature WOW event. New and returning Cougs are invited to join our BVC team and representatives from the Downtown Pullman Association and Pullman Chamber and Visitor Center for an afternoon filled with scoops of classic Ferdinand’s Ice Cream Shoppe flavors, yard games and tours of downtown Pullman to start another academic year on the Palouse!

Holiday Shopping & More: It’s not hard to find a gift the special Coug in your life will love when you shop for items made by fellow Cougs. We can attest — they love it, and we have them! We open on select Saturdays during November and December to offer extended hours for holiday shopping, complete with open house festivities typically featuring seasonal treats like hot chocolate, hot apple cider and baked goods!

Specific hours, dates and details of Brelsford WSU Visitor Center campus event weekend events and activities are posted as events on Facebook, the WSU events calendar and WSU Pullman Coug Presence. More information is available on our Special Hours page
